Decathlon Golf Pop-up opens on August 6 in Brussels-City!
We are happy to report that Decathlon will open a golf pop-up in Brussels.
In the context of rental price negotiations for Brussels City, our partner AG Real Estate has made an empty building available of 39m² on the ground floor above our existing store. An ideal opportunity to make sport more accessible in our capital!
We have decided not only to use this limited space as a communication channel, but also to effectively exploit this space. A pop-up concept seems ideal to give a unique sporting experience for a short period and to create visibility for the existing store.
To reinforce our philosophy of “making sport accessible to as many people as possible”, we have chosen to offer golf on 39m². We are convinced that this sport has enormous potential in the capital. We received the keys to the building on Monday July 30 and will start construction this week. Our goal is to open the pop-up on Monday, August 6!
This pop-up is made possible in part by a collaboration with Beats of Golf (start-up of two Decathlonners, Luk De Meester and Christophe Pape).
Decathlon and Beats of Golf offer a 100% custom selected Inesis golf offering as well as a simulator golf experience. All products can therefore be tested on site.
We would like to be 100% transparent about this collaboration and that is why we would like to share our collaboration agreement for this pop-up with you:
Beats of Golf
A start-up that started at the end of 2017. Two Decathlonners (Luk De Meester: communication director and Christophe Pape commercial director golf) started this BVBA with the aim of making golf in Belgium more accessible. Beats of Golf mainly focuses on creating a unique digital golf experience. Through a golf simulator we can give a real golf experience in a very limited space.
